Haven't written in a while. been busy with work and trying to go to TDs. Done 6 since Easter, so that is 7 for the year, even though one was a rain out. Started touching my knee at BHF, what a feeling!!!!!! The season is more than half way over and there is a lull in the TDs where there aren't any NESBA events for 6 weeks. Doing Gingy with STT and then maybe 5 or 6 more days, hopefully running through October. BHF chili cook-off here we come, baby.

You always remember your first time

Just finished mounting a new tire to the Interceptor. Some work but got it done. It's all about technique. And now I know I can do it when I want. Come in handy with the takeoffs I bought for the track bike. Do it yourself and save some $

Finally here

Last Sunday was the first TD of the season. hopefully many to come this year. Had a lot of adjustments between sessions, even missed one during the initial base line sag setting. But was feeling good by the last 2 sessions.

Track Bike Update

Just got the rebuild kit for the calipers in the mail today!! Now I have to rebuild the calipers, put the brake system on the bike, adjust and troque the axle and pinch bolts and then test it out around the block, between snow storms it looks like. But, next Sunday's forcast calls for 57 and sunny, hope it stays that way. I can't believe I might have the bike in one piece by Monday, that'll be the first time since Oct. Wow.

BRRRRRRR!

Went for a bicycle ride yesterday, 14.5 miles. Damm was it cold! Wore the same gear I'd wear if it were 80 degrees out, but it was 42. BRRRR!.Felt good though.

Also, I got the rebuilt shocks back for the Gixxer!! Put those on last night and torqued the bottom yoke to spec. Have to wait on the top yoke til I can get the brake system back together (after I recieve the rebuild kit) and on the bike. But, I will put the front wheel together and on. Little by little. 12 days 'til BHF!!!!! Come on good weather!

Snow???? Really???

Just a few days ago I rode the motorcycle to work. 75 degrees. It seemed that spring had come and we were done with this. People were wearing shorts and sandals and the buds were coming out on the trees. Waking up today there was snow everywhere! WTF. The track bike is still in pieces. Forks should be back tomorrow, along with the new rear shock, stomp grip and brake pads. Waiting on the caliper rebuild kit 'cause they were shot. Seals were popping out when I tried to clean them. First trackday is in 13 days. Will I make it? Will the weather be good? Who knows?
